Bank Holiday Calendar December 2025: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released list of Bank Holidays for upcoming month of December 2025. If you are planning to postpone any important banking work to January, it is better to first check holiday list. According to the RBI calendar, banks will remain closed for a total of 19 days in December, including regular weekly offs like 4 Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. Customers are advised to plan their branch visits for cash withdrawal, cheque deposit, loan-related work, and other banking services by keeping these holiday dates in mind.
However, it is important to note that all these 19 holidays will not apply in every state across country. As per RBI guidelines, bank holidays are decided based on local festivals and national events, which means a bank may remain open in one state while it stays closed in another.
To avoid any inconvenience, customers are advised to check the holiday list applicable specifically to their own state or region. Digital banking services—such as online transfers, ATMs, and mobile banking will continue to work as usual during these holidays.

December 2025 Bank Off Days , 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays Confirmed
In December there will be holidays on 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays. All banks across country will remain closed on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th December because these dates fall on Sundays. Apart from this 13th December will be the second Saturday of month and 27th December will be the fourth Saturday, so banks nationwide will remain closed on these days as well.
In addition to these weekly holidays, banks in different states will also remain closed on 1st, 3rd, 12th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 30th and 31st December due to various local festivals and regional events.
