Ayushman Card: Ayushman Card launched by Central Government in 2018, aims to provide free healthcare facilities to economically weaker and low-income families across country. PMJay scheme, now officially known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), was introduced to reduce the financial burden of medical expenses on poor households. Under this initiative, crores of eligible families in India have been issued Ayushman Card.
Ayushman Card works like a health card that allows the beneficiary and their family to receive cashless treatment worth up to ₹500000 per year. Once Ayushman Card is issued, family can get free medical treatment at any empanelled hospital across country. This includes major surgeries, hospitalisation charges, tests, and medicines—completely free of cost.
How to Download the Ayushman Card?
These days , downloading Ayushman Card has become very easy. Government of India’s National Health Authority has launched Ayushman Card Beneficiary Portal https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/ , where any eligible person can download their Ayushman Card using Aadhaar-based OTP verification or face authentication. If you are a beneficiary under PMJay scheme, you can easily generate your Ayushman Card and download it in PDF format. Step-by-step process for generating and downloading the card is explained below.
Download Ayushman Card (PMJAY Card) – Step-by-Step Guide
- First, visit the official Ayushman Bharat Beneficiary Portal beneficiary.nha.gov.in .
- After opening portal, go to Beneficiary Login, enter your Mobile Number and verify with OTP.
- Once Logged in, select any one option to find your details , like
- Family ID / Aadhaar Number / Name / Location / PMJAY ID
- Enter required information and click on the Search button.
- A list of your family members will appear on screen.
- Choose member for whom you want to download aayushman card and click on Generate.
- Now complete Aadhaar authentication.
- After verification, click on Card View for that family member.
- Then click on Download Ayushman Card.
- Ayushman Card will be downloaded in PDF format.
