LPG Gas Cylinder Subsidy Check: Indane gas subsidy was a financial support provided by the Government of India to reduce the cooking gas cost for eligible families. There are only two exceptions:
- Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries: Families below the poverty line (BPL) who received free LPG connections under this scheme still get a subsidy of ₹200 per cylinder, up to 12 cylinders per year.
- Consumers who did not opt out: Some customers who did not join the ‘GiveItUp’ campaign may still receive a small subsidy based on the market price difference. But this amount is not fixed and keeps changing.
How To Check Your LPG Gas Subsidy Status Online
Checking the status of your Indane gas subsidy online is very simple. Follow these steps carefully.
- First of all Visit the official website: Go to the official Indane Gas website or the LPG subsidy portal.
- Now, Log in or register: If you already have an account, log in using your credentials. If not, you will need to register by providing details like your LPG ID, registered mobile number, and email address.
- Go to the Subsidy Status section: After logging in, look for the section called “Subsidy Status” or “Check PAHAL Status.”
- Enter the required details: You may need to enter your LPG ID or Aadhaar number linked to your gas connection.
- View your status: After submitting the details, you can see your subsidy status. It will show the last subsidy amount credited and the date on which it was credited.
If you don’t complete your e-KYC for LPG subsidy, your gas subsidy will be stopped. This yearly verification is necessary to continue receiving the government’s financial support for your cooking gas cylinder. If you skip it, you will have to pay the full market price for your next cylinder.
What happens if you don’t do eKYC?
Subsidy will stop: You will no longer receive the subsidy amount in your bank account for future cylinder purchases. Full market price to be paid: For every cylinder, you will have to pay the complete market rate, with no subsidy amount deducted.
It is a yearly requirement
This is a compulsory annual process, especially for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The aim is to prevent misuse and ensure the subsidy reaches the genuine customer.
