PF Balance Check 2025: If you are an employee working in private sector and your company and you deposits PF every month, you can easily check your PF Account Balance and Passbook online. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provide users to check their EPF balance in multiple ways. Recently, EPFO has also launched a new ” Passbook Lite” Feature to make balance checking even faster. Along with this, PF balance can also be checked through missed call and SMS services.
So, if you want to know whether your company is depositing PF money into your account or if you simply want to view your PF balance, you can do it very easily.
What is a PF Account and Passbook ?
A PF (Provident Fund) account is a retirement savings account for salaried employees. Every month 12% of an employee’s basic salary is deposited into PF account. The money deposited in your EPF account builds financial security for your retirement. This amount is usually withdrawn after retirement, but under certain conditions, you can withdraw it even before retiring.
Check PF Passbook on EPFO Passbook Portal
- Step 1 , Go to EPFO passbook website passbook.epfindia.gov.in , open in Google.
- Step 2 , click on ” E- Passbook ” Log in using your UAN number and password.
- Step 3 , After login, you will see your company/establishment name.
- Step 4 , Click on company name to open your PF passbook.

After clicking, your PF passbook will appear on phone screen, where you can see your deposits and total PF balance.
Check PF Balance Through Missed Call , just 1 minute
- Step 1, Give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425.
- Step 2 , After missed call, you will receive an SMS with all details related to your PF balance.
Note – for this service, your UAN must be linked with PAN or Aadhaar, and your UAN should be active.
